My name is Tisha Savannah. I am a Paralegal/Legal Assistant for a mid-sized law firm in Houston, Texas. I have been a paralegal since 2013 and truly enjoy the work. I also hold a national paralegal certification. Prior to my current career path, I worked a temporary job as a Document Formatter/Editor for an international oil and gas company.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Writing with a minor in Political Science from University of Houston-Downtown. I was not ready for college immediately after graduating high school, so I worked my way through college. I grew up on the east side of Houston, Texas. As a self-described “grammar nerd,” I enjoy proofreading and editing, and offer my “second set of eyes” to anyone I know who may need them.
I chose to take this course because writing has always interested me. I believe that technical communication skills are necessary to clearly communicate ideas, instructions, and training in the workplace. They will never lose significance and will continue to increase in importance in the workplace. I look forward to learning additional communications skills in this course.
